OG16

Going through the math section of OG16 again.  This will be my 3rd time going through.  I will be very thorough and make sure I can solve all of them.  I spend around 1-2 hours during the day to go over RC and CR.  I will go over the entire verbal section of the OG16 starting this Sat.

I figure, if i memorize and know how to solve every single math and verbal problems in OG16....the real exam cannot be that tough.

PS and SC

Last night, I did solid 2.5 hours of studying after work.  Worked on PS, DS, and SC.  Most of the SC questions have parallel or idiom errors.  Now if I can master these, SC should go much smoother.  As for PS, I have went through most of the PS problems in the OG16 book at least twice.  Naturally as a result, I have memorized a lot of the questions and the answers.  Almost automatic to me at this point.

I need to do the same for DS questions.  DS questions look hopeless for me now but let's see how DS looks after I memorize majority of the questions in OG book.  That is my goal today.  Devour DS questions today and if I have time and energy, devour some of the SC questions I already went over.

It is usually around 7PM after dinner.  I will not be a lazy weakling anymore and start hitting those books as soon as i am done eating.  I can put in solid 3-4 hours a night and 1 hour in the office.  I have 7 weeks to go.  I have a lot of climbing to do to get to the 700 mark.  Come on 700!!

GMAT Progress

I have attended MGMAT in the city and solved more than 60% of the OG16 problems.  But my practice 3 CAT scores have been in the range of 570-600.

Knowing that I will be lawn mowed, i went ahead and took the GMAT exam.  I got destroyed.  520

This was really really disappointing.  My next exam is in the first week of Oct.  I better get my score up to +700.  Honestly, I don't know how but i will just memorize the questions, answers, and the entire process involved in solving OG16 questions.  My plan is very similar to L2 of the CFA exam - memorize and devour everything in the book.

GMAT

Long time no write!

I am back once again.  The good news is that I did pass the CFA L3 exam in 2013.  My employer reimbursed all my costs:  Schweser books and classes and NYSSA classes from L1 to L3.  I truly thank my company for such generosity.

Now that I am a CFA charterholder, I want an MBA really bad.

I am currently on my GMAT journey - on my way to top20 MBA!
